John M. Burke (John J Motell, Jr.), 55 years old, life resident of Syracuse, New York, passed away Monday, June 18, 1012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. John was employed by Central Alright Parking. He was an avid bowler.
John was predeceased by his parents, David and Edith Burke and brother, Warren Burke. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Grace Burke; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Zachary Cook; stepson, Kevin Trumble Sr. (Lynn); grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Kaile and Chase Trumble; former wife, Linda Wright (Anthony); brother, Robert Burke (Debbie); sisters, Patti Burke Esterson (Al), Sheril Burke, Mary Burke (Marc Evans), Grace Payne; several nieces and nephews; longtime friend, Jenny Howes (Leroy Cast) and her children, Heather, Danielle and David Howes.
Calling hours will be held Friday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205 with a funeral service to immediately follow at the funeral home. Contributions in John's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.

Very Sorry to hear about John''s passing. We are employees of Upstate Hospital and used to spend some of our break time with John. Over the past few years we shared many laughs together and are deeply saddened by this news. We would like to send our deepest condolences to his friends and family. John will be missed!

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad too and know how you feel. Just remember how much he loved you and the kids. He is in a much better place than we are. May God hold you in your time of such sorrow. May he rest in peace with the Lord. We love you and are here for you if you need us.

I had the pleasure of working with John over the past 6 years!! John was always one of my favorite employee's. I Loved working the special events with John as his sense of humor made the time fly by... John had just started working days this past year so I was able to get to know John even more... What can you say about a guy who loved to make people laugh. John I will miss you more than you will know. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Becky and your children and the rest of your family.

Our life together had its ups and downs. But when I look at our
daughter I no longer frown. You gave me a gift like no other, the love for a daughter is like no other. You are gone to soon and that is for sure. Our daughters heart aches for you more and more. I hope you are happy in your final resting place, with your parents holding that ace. God took you why we will never know. Keep your wings around our daughter and the grandkids for now they truly have an angel in heaven looking our for them.
God bless you for absent from the body is present with the LORD.

I am so sorry to have just learned of John''''s passing. I knew him from the parking garage, as I worked at Crouse Hospital. He helped me several times and we always had our little chats. After he went to days I lost touch with him. He will truely be missed. You are all in my prayers.
