Betty Jane Warren-DuBose
January 24, 1923 – May 25, 2012

Mrs. Betty Jane Warren-DuBose, 89, of 169 W. Brighton Ave departed this life on May 25, 2012 at home surrounded by family. Betty was born on January 24, 1923 in Syracuse, NY to the union of Reuben Warren and Mary Williams. She was a life resident of Syracuse and graduated from Central Tech High School. She retired from Loretto.

In her spare time, she loved to read and do puzzle books. She was very devoted to her family and helped raised many of her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 yrs James Lee DuBose, a daughter Patricia A. DuBose-Edwards, and a son Reuben E. DuBose Sr.

Mrs. Betty Jane Warren-DuBose leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory: one sister, Edna B. Prayor of Orlando, Fl; one son, James A. DuBose; four daughters, Berniece (Will) Sheard; Betty J. DuBose; Margaret (LeMichael) Chappell; Donna (Duane Sr.); two adopted daughters, Patricia McIntyre and Janice Thomas. Betty had 27 grandchildren, 95 great grands, 16 great-great grands, 6 great-great-great grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY 13205.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

bernice and family sorry about the lost of your mom, a special gift that was shared with you all from our lord. time will heal the pain you are feeling now, but in the years to come you all will have so much joy thinking over the good times shared. may god continue to guide and bless all. the reed family
